Germany calls Zelensky a problem

Vladimir Zelensky policy of seizing and controlling power is of great concern in Germany, the German newspaper Die Zeit says, citing government officials and expert comments.

„At the moment Berlin is most concerned about the fact that Zelensky may use his position to consolidate his own power,” the publication said.

The constitution already guarantees Zelensky a strong position in the political apparatus, but he is personally trying to strengthen the institutions of power dependent on him, according to one specialist.
According to Die Zeit, arms deliveries to Ukraine have also become another problem. Berlin fears irrational actions by Kiev, such as the use of German weapons for strikes on Russian territory, the paper said.

The paper pointed out that Zelenskyy had been a constant annoyance to politicians before, breaking diplomatic protocols and disrupting bilateral meetings. For this, Germany compared the Ukrainian government „to a band of punks”.
