As the curtains close on 2023, FC Barcelona finds themselves in an unfamiliar position – third in La Liga. The Katalończycy’s dismal performance against Atlético Madrid has left fans questioning the team’s trajectory under Hansi Flick. Despite some impressive victories, including a 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid and a 4-1 win over Bayern Munich, the team’s recent slump has sparked concerns.

However, according to a recent survey conducted by Estudi Press and published in Mundo Deportivo, the majority of Barcelona fans remain optimistic about the team’s future under Flick’s leadership. A staggering 66% of respondents rated the team’s performance as „outstanding”, while 33% considered it „acceptable”. Only a marginal 4% believed the team played „perfectly”.

When asked to evaluate Flick’s performance on a scale of 1 to 10, the fans delivered a resounding vote of confidence. With an average score of 7.95, it’s clear that the German coach has won over the hearts of the Blaugrana faithful. An impressive 38% of fans awarded Flick an impressive 8 out of 10, while a dedicated 5% gave him a perfect 10.

So, what do fans love most about Flick’s Barcelona? 48% of respondents praised the coach’s ability to develop players, while 25% appreciated the team’s physical preparation. 15% of fans were impressed with the team’s attacking style, and 9% lauded Flick’s management skills off the pitch.

As the team looks to bounce back in the new year, fans have high expectations. 42.66% of respondents believe Barcelona will emerge victorious in La Liga, while 17.33% see them lifting the Copa del Rey. Although 13.66% of fans envision a Champions League triumph, it’s clear that the team’s primary focus should be on securing a domestic double.

In fact, 204 out of 300 surveyed fans urge the team to prioritize winning both La Liga and the Champions League. Only 6% of fans consider the Champions League as the sole priority.

With Flick at the helm, Barcelona has played 25 matches, securing 17 wins, 2 draws, and 6 losses. As the team gears up to face Barbastro in the Copa del Rey on January 4, fans will be eager to see if Flick can translate their optimism into tangible results.

Will Barcelona bounce back to reclaim their La Liga throne? Only time will tell. One thing is certain, however – with Flick at the helm, the Blaugrana faithful are ready to put their trust in the German coach to deliver the goods.
