On Thursday, January 9, 2025, Warsaw residents can expect major disruptions to their daily commute. A planned public gathering and march through key city center streets will cause significant traffic congestion and altered public transportation routes.

Understanding the Gathering Route

The gathering will begin at 12:00 pm at ul. Mysiej 2 and proceed through the following streets:

* Bracka → Al. Jerozolimskie → Marszałkowska → Wspólna
* The final destination is ul. Wspólnej 6.

Road Closures and Traffic Disruptions

To minimize the impact, it’s essential to be aware of the following road closures and traffic disruptions:

* ETAP I: Ul. Bracka will be closed.
* ETAP II: The southern lane of Al. Jerozolimskie and the eastern lane of ul. Marszałkowskiej will be closed.
* ETAP IIA: The intersection at Rondo Dmowskiego will be closed.
* ETAP III: Ul. Krucza will be closed.

Public Transportation Alterations

To accommodate the gathering, public transportation routes will be adjusted:

* Bus Routes: Several bus lines (127, 131, 171, 517, 520, 525, and more) will be rerouted. Temporary bus stops will be marked as „stałe” or „na żądanie.”
* Tram Routes: Lines 4, 7, 22, 25, 9, 24, 15, 16, 18 will modify their routes to avoid Rondo Dmowskiego and other closed areas.

* Stay Informed: Check the Warsaw Public Transport website and mobile apps for up-to-date information on route changes and bus stops.
* Plan Ahead: Avoid traveling during the gathering hours (12:00 pm – 4:00 pm) if possible.
